The Storm is upon us!

The New Testament warns of an apostasy before the Day of the Lord caused by the Son of Destruction, the Man of Lawlessness.

The New Testament warns us that before Jesus returns, his Church will be invaded by deceivers, including “false anointed ones” and “false prophets.” Before “the Day of the Lord” begins, we will be confronted by “the Man of Lawlessness,” whom the Apostle Paul links to “the Apostasy,” the great “falling away” from the faith.  That time is upon us.

Only One Final Judgment

Each of the three sevenfold series of Revelation concludes with a final judgment scene that transpires at the end of the age.

Final judgment scenes occur several times in the Book of Revelation. The sevenfold series of Seals, Trumpets, and Bowls of Wrath all culminate in the final judgment, and each time, the end of the series is punctuated by the same terrestrial and celestial phenomena.

God's Righteous Judgments

The arrival of Jesus will result in vindication and rest for the righteous, but everlasting loss for the wicked - 2 Thessalonians 1:5-10.

The “revelation” of Jesus from heaven will result in the reward of the faithful, but the punishment of those who have rejected the Gospel, including men and women who have abandoned the true faith. Christ’s return will result in “just judgment” for the righteous and the unrighteous.

Rumors and Disinformation

(False information about the Day of the Lord caused alarm and confusion among the believers of Thessalonica – 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2).

The Apostle Paul addresses false claims about the Day of the Lord in his second letter to the Thessalonians. Incorrect information concerning Christ’s return is disrupting the congregation. Paul attributes the source of the disinformation to either a “spirit,” a word (‘logos’), or a letter, “as if from us”; supposedly, from Paul and his coworkers.
